Website Terms of Use

These terms govern access to and use of evolt.com.hk. The website provides general information only. The scope, price and arrangements for any air-conditioning, electrical, controls, repair or maintenance work are governed by the quotation, works order or contract accepted by both parties.

Website operator and acceptance

This website is provided by EVOLT COOL ENGINEERING LIMITED, trading as Evolt Cool Engineering (“we”, “us” or “our”). By using the website, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the website.

Website information and service descriptions

The website introduces commercial air-conditioning, supporting electrical works, controls, repair, maintenance and related engineering matters. It helps visitors understand information they may need to prepare and possible next steps. It does not provide a diagnosis, design, specification, professional advice, statutory compliance confirmation, formal quotation or service commitment for a particular site.

Equipment condition, load, access, shutdowns, power, drainage, building rules, safety and other works interfaces can all affect the actual solution. Do not rely on website content alone to carry out high-risk, licensed or professionally assessed work.

Manufacturer model, specification, compatibility, parts, warranty and technical-support information may change. Website summaries do not replace current manufacturer documents, statutory requirements or inspection of the particular equipment. Any warranty or service obligation undertaken by Evolt Cool Engineering is governed only by the specific contract documents accepted by both parties.

Images, simulated settings and brand references

The website uses different types of images. Unless a page clearly identifies an image as an actual Evolt Cool Engineering project, the image should not be treated as a client case, completed project or evidence of results.

  • AI-generated or digitally composed images: These illustrate general equipment, work settings or concepts only. They do not represent a real client, actual premises, a particular unit’s condition, a work method, project result or safety arrangement. The actual scope is confirmed from site information and the accepted quotation or contract.
  • Real site photographs: Some images were taken at real projects or premises and may have been cropped, obscured or anonymised. Unless expressly stated, an image does not publicly confirm a client’s identity, project name, location, work scope or result. If you represent the relevant client or premises, or are identifiable in an image, and would like us to review, obscure or remove it, email the page URL, a screenshot, the reason for the request and your contact details to info@evolt.com.hk. We will first carry out reasonable verification and then respond as soon as practicable in light of the image permission, privacy and relevant circumstances, including obscuring or removing content where appropriate.
  • Staged or simulated photography: Some images are photographed in demonstration, staged or simulated settings designed to resemble a real environment. They illustrate a general situation only and are not an actual client site, real project record or guarantee of results.
  • Before-and-after comparisons, cases and result examples: Images and descriptions reflect only the stated work scope and visible conditions at the relevant time. They may also be affected by angle, lighting, cropping, equipment condition and site circumstances. They do not by themselves establish IAQ certification, pathogen removal, health improvement, energy savings, restored design performance, fewer future faults or longer equipment life, and do not guarantee the same result at another site.
  • Brand names, model names and logos: Third-party brand references identify equipment and indicate that Evolt Cool Engineering may, depending on the circumstances, service, maintain, clean or carry out related work on that brand’s equipment. Actual availability depends on the model, components, technical requirements, parts availability, site assessment and written quotation. Unless we expressly state otherwise and hold current, verifiable evidence, displaying a brand reference does not mean that Evolt Cool Engineering is the brand’s official dealer, authorised repairer, authorised service centre, agent or representative, or that the brand sponsors, endorses or is affiliated with us.

Rights in third-party trade marks and logos belong to their respective owners. These explanations do not replace any permission required to use an image, trade mark or other content. If you are a relevant rights holder and have a question about use on the website, please contact us.

Enquiries, quotations and contract formation

  • Submitting information through a form, phone call, email or WhatsApp message is an enquiry. It does not automatically create a quotation, booking, order, service commitment or contract.
  • Service descriptions, photographs, examples and general processes shown on the website do not mean that every service is available for every site, unit or time period.
  • Any indicative price, typical programme, availability or completion time shown on the website is for initial understanding only. Actual price, programme, material or parts availability and available work period are confirmed only in a written quotation or contract.
  • A formal quotation is valid only for the period stated in the document and is based on its site information, assumptions, scope, exclusions and conditions.
  • A contract is formed only when both parties accept the relevant quotation, works order or contract in writing and any stated deposit, approval or other condition precedent has been met.

Initial information, photographs, a visual inspection or non-intrusive observation may not reveal concealed, intermittent or pre-existing conditions. If an issue that could not reasonably have been identified is later found, or if site information, equipment condition, works interfaces, legal requirements or client requirements change, the affected work proceeds only under the accepted documents or after scope, price, timing, safety conditions and written approval are confirmed through a variation.

Acceptable use

You may use the website only lawfully and reasonably. You must not:

  • Interfere with the website, servers, networks, security features or another person’s use of the website.
  • Introduce malware, test vulnerabilities without authority, bypass access restrictions, or try to obtain unauthorised access to systems or data.
  • Impersonate another person, submit information you know is false or misleading, or use the website for fraud, harassment, unlawful activity or infringement of another person’s rights.
  • Scrape, reproduce, resell or build a commercial copy of substantial website content without permission. Ordinary search-engine indexing and normal linking are not restricted by this paragraph.

If we reasonably believe that a use threatens the website, another person or our lawful interests, we may restrict or block that access to the extent permitted by law.

Information and documents you submit

You should take reasonable care to ensure that submitted information is accurate, relevant and current, and that you have the right to provide the information, photographs or documents. If you contact us for a company, owner, tenant, consultant, contractor or another person, make sure you are authorised to act for that enquiry.

You keep your rights in submitted content but give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free and limited permission to read, copy, store and disclose it to authorised recipients as needed to handle the enquiry, prepare a quotation, assess the work or deliver an agreed service. Personal data is handled under the Privacy Policy.

We may prepare an initial assessment or quotation using the premises, equipment, quantity, constraints and photographs you provide. Please tell us promptly if information is missing, inaccurate or later changes. The related scope, preparation, price or timing may need to be checked again and updated in writing.

Do not use a general website form or instant message to send identity documents, payment-card details, passwords, access credentials, full security layouts or unrelated confidential information.

Urgent matters, safety and message acknowledgement

Website forms, general email and WhatsApp are not emergency hotlines. A message does not mean that someone is handling the matter, that attendance has been arranged or that a response time has been agreed until we expressly acknowledge and accept the arrangement.

An automated reply, email delivery notice or WhatsApp delivered or read indicator does not constitute acceptance of an order, booking, variation approval or formal notice under a contract. Formal notices must be delivered and acknowledged in the manner stated in the accepted contract documents.

If there is fire, a burning smell, smoke, risk of electric shock, water near electrical equipment, structural danger or another immediate risk to people, keep clear of the hazard where safe, alert the person responsible for the premises, and contact the fire services, police, building or property management, or an appropriate emergency or qualified person. Do not wait for a website response before taking necessary safety action.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the website’s text, layout, images, icons, logos, downloads and other content are owned by us, licensed to us or otherwise protected by the relevant rights. Third-party trade marks, product names and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

You may view, print or save a reasonable number of pages for internal service evaluation, enquiry preparation or ordinary personal reference. You must not remove rights notices, misrepresent the source, or publicly reproduce, adapt, sell, license or commercially distribute website content without written permission. Uses expressly permitted by law are not restricted by this paragraph.

Website availability and accuracy

We take reasonable care to maintain the website and update information, but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure access, or that every item is complete, current and suitable for your premises at all times. The website may be suspended or changed for maintenance, security, supplier failure, technical issues or other reasons.

If information affects an important procurement, safety, compliance, design or engineering decision, ask us or an appropriately qualified professional to confirm the current position and assess it against the actual premises and documents.

We may correct or supplement an obvious layout, wording, price or information error on the website. A correction does not by itself retrospectively change an engineering contract already accepted by both parties.

External links and third-party services

The website may link to WhatsApp, Google Maps, manufacturers, government bodies or other third-party websites. External links are provided for convenient reference. They do not mean that we control, endorse or guarantee the third party’s content, availability, security or privacy practices. Your use of an external service is subject to that provider’s own terms and policies.

Liability for website use

To the fullest extent permitted by Hong Kong law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising solely from access to, inability to use or reliance on this website, including loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, data or business continuity.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law. Liability, remedies, warranties and any liability cap for an engineering project or service are governed by the specific contract documents accepted for that work, and are not replaced by these website terms.

Privacy and website technologies

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data, cookies, tags, anti-spam technology and direct-marketing choices. Please also read the Personal Information Collection Statement beside a form before submitting an enquiry.

Changes to these terms and the website

We may update these terms when website functions, service information, security, operations or legal requirements change. The new version will show its updated date and applies from publication or any later date stated in the version. An update does not rewrite a project contract accepted by both parties before the update.

If you continue to use the website after a new version takes effect, you accept the updated website terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the website.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Unless applicable law requires otherwise or the parties agree otherwise in writing, the courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from this website or these terms.

General provisions

If any part of these terms is held invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected part will be treated, to the extent permitted by law, in the way that most closely reflects its intended effect. A delay in exercising a right does not waive that right.
