When FCU works are planned in batches, we sequence the work first and confirm shutdown permissions, impacted locations, control handover points and restart checks before completion, including how to handle items that are inaccessible or abnormal.

    Confirm the FCU schedule and access

    Match each unit to its area, location, access hatch, ceiling height, quoted components and available work period.

    Set up isolation, protection and drainage

    Confirm shutdown and electrical isolation, chilled-water interfaces, work-zone separation, ceiling and room protection, and wash-water handling.

    Clean the quoted FCU components

    Treat the filter, safely accessible coil, fan, drain pan and condensate drainage components. Water-side and controls work is defined separately.

    After drying, refit the components and restart units in batches, checking airflow, abnormal noise, control response and visible drainage.

How can we tell whether the ceiling unit is an FCU?

How often should an FCU be cleaned?

There is no single interval for every site. Use equipment instructions, operating hours, the site environment, filter and drainage condition, service history and inspection findings.

How are dripping or weak-cooling issues followed up?

Cleaning can address agreed fouling and accessible drainage. If the findings point to concealed drains, parts, chilled water, controls, power or another system condition, we will explain the appropriate follow-up investigation.

How does the quotation cover cleaning agents, filters and parts?

The quotation identifies cleaning agents, consumables, filter cleaning or replacement, dismantling, parts, wash-water handling and any separately assessed items.

Can the work be phased or carried out outside office hours?

State the preferred windows, no-shutdown areas, building procedures and notification needs in the enquiry. Dates, hours, labour, noise, isolation and reinstatement must be confirmed for the site and agreed scope.
