Units that look alike from the room can have different internal conditions, drainage, power, controls and accessible components. Record the equipment after inspection before deciding whether cleaning, repair, maintenance, improvement or replacement is appropriate. Do works have to wait for the summer holiday?

The programme can use term breaks, weekends or phased work periods. Confirm the timing from the work scope, room use, noise, shutdowns, school activities and available safe work zones after the survey.

Do we need complete drawings for the first enquiry?

No. Start with the address, room use, equipment photographs or list, the main issue and preferred timing. Existing plans and maintenance records will help when available.

Can work take place while the school is open?

Some work can be phased, but access, segregation, noise, dust, shutdown and daily handback need to be assessed first. Do not assume a completely disruption-free programme or unrestricted work hours.

How are cooling or odour issues assessed?

Cleaning, repair, ventilation assessment and IAQ measurement have different scopes. Inspection helps identify the cause and the appropriate service.

Can the quotation follow our procurement format?

Share the required format, deadline, room or equipment schedule and document requirements with the enquiry. The submission scope and timing can then be confirmed.

What records are provided at completion?

Records depend on the project and agreed quotation. They can include test results, asset or defect records, photographs, drawing updates, or operation and maintenance information. Documents not listed in the scope should not be assumed to be included.
